Stunning restored ledge wagon by Watts of Bridgewater circa 1900

Built by Watts of Bridgewater, Somerset, in 1903, this stunning wagon was beautifully restored by Stef Bate in 2018. Watts, trading as W Watts & Sons of Market Street, Bridgewater exclusively made showman’s wagons. Identifying features include the swans of the scroll work on the front deck and the “snake handrail” on the steps.

Length 8 ft 6.5 ins, flares out further at top and deck adds 18 ins.
Width 5ft 6 ins (at dray height)
Height 3 ft 11 ins to deck height then 5 ft 11 ins to roof height, plus mollycroft.

Wheels Front 34.5 ins diameter, 12 spoke
Rear 40 ins diameter, 12 spoke.

Bed is 5 ft 2 ins long 32 ins wide.
