It was restored by Stef Bate of the Valley Stream Project in 2016. The original maker made wagons primarily for holidays as opposed to travellers or showman’s wagons and although these original fittings have been lost, there were such refinements as hot water etc. The restoration however does include the built in fire place with mantelpiece.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eBertram Hutchings himself was a founder member of the Caravan Club in 1907 at a time when most caravans were still horse drawn.
